The book “Outland Exile: Book 1 of Old Men and Infidels” by W. Clark Boutwell will be exhibited by ReadersMagnet at The London Book Fair 2023 on April 18-20, 2023, at the Olympia London, Hammersmith Road, London W14 8UX UK.

Outland Exile is the first book in the Old Men and Infidels series. The book tells the story of a heroic young (but middle-aged) woman, Malila Chiu, who is sent to the lawless outlands as punishment for her manufactured and real misconduct. However, little did she know that her arrival is part of a plot by the savages.

After dropping from fatigue, she wakes to find a disfigured and hideously old man has a knife at her throat. After murdering her platoon, Jesse Johnstone takes her captive.

Over the next six weeks walking back to America, Chiu discovers invaluable information about the Restructured States, humankind, and especially herself. Malila's education and enlightenment in the barbarous outlands “show her the stars.”
