FORT COLLINS, CO — January 11, 2026 - Mill City Church announces the grand opening of its first permanent home, marking a significant milestone for the church community that has operated as a mobile congregation since its founding in 2012. The celebration spans four Sundays—January 11, 18, 25, and February 1—with services at 8:00 AM, 9:15 AM, and 11:00 AM each week at the new location, 2700 South Lemay Avenue.

"This home reflects years of prayer, generosity, and steady work, and it has been thoughtfully created to be a place where people encounter Jesus, build meaningful relationships, and find hope and purpose," said Lead Pastor Aaron Stern. "We are so grateful to God for His provision."

The new facility represents the culmination of Mill City's SO THAT Building Initiative, launched in faith to secure a permanent home for the growing congregation. After years of meeting in temporary venues including the University Center for the Arts at Colorado State University, the church acquired and renovated a building built in 1981 in the heart of Fort Collins.

A Vision for Northern Colorado

Since holding its first service in February 2012, Mill City Church has grown from a small team to a vibrant community serving Northern Colorado through multiple weekly gatherings. Founded by Lead Pastor Aaron Stern and his wife Jossie, the church was planted with a clear vision: to see Northern Colorado look more like Heaven.

"In 2010, God began to deposit the dream of planting a life-giving, Jesus-centered church in our hearts," explained Pastor Aaron. "Confirmation after confirmation led us to move our family from Colorado Springs to Fort Collins, and we've seen God grow Mill City into a strong, vibrant community."

Grand Opening Celebration Details

Each of the four Grand Opening Sundays offers meaningful worship, genuine connection, and moments highlighting the story behind the SO THAT initiative. Attendees can expect warm hospitality including; complimentary coffee and giveaways, excellent children's environments, and spaces designed to serve families, volunteers, and neighbors with intentional care.
