Discover the journey behind the calling in “The Simplicity of Faith.” Reverend Pat Baranski's new autobiographical release explores the unique circumstances and defining moments that anchored his faith and led him closer to God.
Have you ever felt called to take a step that made little sense on paper but felt right in your heart?
That question lies at the center of Reverend Pat Baranski's memoir, “The Simplicity of Faith: Detroit, Michigan, to Watertown, Wisconsin,” which will be displayed at the 2026 Manila International Book Fair, the Philippines' longest-running and largest book fair, attracting more than 160,000 visitors, from publishers to authors to educators, and readers of all ages. The fair will be held from September 9-13, 2026 at the SMX Convention Center Manila.
Baranski's story follows his journey from working on a farm to becoming involved with a gang on the streets of Detroit. His life later took him into military service, across several American states, and as far as Spain. Along the way, he faced choices and experiences that slowly prepared him for a deeper relationship with God.
A turning point came when he began reading the Gospel twice each day. What started as a simple routine eventually changed the direction of his life.
The lessons his father taught him as a child later became clearer to him as biblical principles for living a meaningful life. The book brings those lessons together with stories of family, military service, mistakes, change, and spiritual growth.
