YoungLives Montgomery County to Host Community Gathering Supporting Pregnant and Parenting Teen Mothers

Gaithersburg, MD YoungLives Montgomery County will host a community-focused event on February 21, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (EST) at 200 W Diamond Avenue, Gaithersburg, MD 20877. The event will raise awareness and support for pregnant and parenting teen mothers across Montgomery County.

In the United States, one in three women becomes pregnant before the age of 20, underscoring the need for compassionate, consistent support for young mothers. YoungLives Montgomery County serves teen moms ages 13 to 20, helping them navigate motherhood, faith, and high school while addressing the complex challenges they often face, including poverty, violence, illness, and isolation.

YoungLives is committed to impacting teen mothers and shaping future generations through mentoring relationships and the message of Jesus Christ. The organization provides a safe, supportive environment where young mothers and their children can experience hope, stability, and community.

Community members are encouraged to get involved by serving as mentors, prayer partners, childcare helpers, or meal providers. Opportunities are also available for individuals interested in making a one-time commitment by assisting with special events throughout the year.
